Torque arm
Check: transmission, rear housing/mount, exhaust/Y-pipe, ride height and driveshaft-loop requirement.
Compatibility checkpoints for modified 1993–2002 F-bodies: torque arm, exhaust, rear/ABS, clutch, converter, brakes, suspension and forced induction.
Use these interaction gates before ordering. They are compatibility checkpoints, not horsepower rankings.
Check: transmission, rear housing/mount, exhaust/Y-pipe, ride height and driveshaft-loop requirement.
Check: exact year, 3/4-channel ABS/TCS, reluctor arrangement, brake hardware, torque-arm mount, driveshaft/yoke and intended shock load.
Check: LT1 external-slave vs LS1 internal-slave architecture, flywheel/clutch, master/slave, release geometry and output/yoke when changing transmissions.
Check: exact converter, engine torque/cam, vehicle weight, rear gear, tire, lockup strategy, calibration and cooling.
Check: engine actually installed, emissions configuration, header/Y-pipe match, O2 location, torque arm/panhard and lowered-car clearance.
Check: spindle/upright, bracket, rotor/caliper, hydraulic effects and actual spoke/caliper envelope. Wheel diameter alone does not prove clearance.
Check: rear centering, alignment, dynamic toe/bump steer, exhaust/crossmember clearance and shock travel.
Check: exact system revision, fuel/tune package, belt drive, intercooling, engine condition, transmission/rear consequences and legal/emissions configuration.
Transmission type, clutch/converter, tire and launch behavior change shock loading. FPV does not reduce drivetrain suitability to a single horsepower number.

These paths turn common modification checkpoints into complete symptom → test → isolate → prove → parts verdict → repair → verify journeys.
Converter and tune complaints now split command, calibration, hydraulic apply and internal capacity before parts are condemned.
Proof-first journeys for injector, fuel-system, MAF/intake and long-tube/O₂ changes.
Post-modification faults now split power, ground, command, calibration and component failure before replacement.
New proof-first paths cover dynamic wheel/caliper and brake-hose fitment, uneven pad wear, Magnum reverse lockout/VSS/reverse lights, and VIN-versus-installed-configuration checks.
