C5/C6-Based Front Brake Upgrade Paths
A useful upgrade family—but each rotor/caliper package has different clearance and installation requirements.
APPLICATION: 1993–2002 Firebird / Formula / Trans Am using KORE3 GMF4 hardware. Manufacturer-specific fitment; verify current part instructions before purchase.
| Package | Rotor | Caliper family | Minimum wheel guidance |
|---|---|---|---|

| C6 Z51 | 340 × 32 mm | C5/C6 2-piston | Verify manufacturer template |
| Hybrid | 355 × 32 mm | C5/C6 2-piston | 18 in minimum; not every 18 clears |

What is verified
- KORE3 lists these as GMF4 / 1993–2002 F-body applications.
- The bracket systems are described as compatible with factory ABS.
- Installation requires irreversible spindle modification on the applicable bracket kits.
What this does not prove
- Your exact wheel clears.
- Your rear brake combination is balanced for your goals.
- Your used Corvette caliper/rotor parts are the correct generation or condition.
DO NOT MIX BY APPEARANCE
Do not combine “Corvette caliper,” a random large rotor and an adapter because the bolt spacing seems close. Use a documented package with the specified rotor offset, bracket and caliper.
FPV RULE
OBSERVE → MEASURE → ISOLATE → PROVE → REPAIR → VERIFY. Compatibility means the whole system works together—not merely that two parts can be bolted together.
