Modified Drivetrain: Diagnose the Combination, Not the Catalog

The farther the car moves from stock, the more important it becomes to map every interface before ordering parts or diagnosing a failure.

APPLICATION: Modified 1993–2002 Firebird / Formula / Trans Am, manual or automatic.
MODIFIED-CAR / AFTERMARKET EVIDENCE · VERIFY INSTALLED HARDWARE

Engine → transmission

Bellhousing pattern, flywheel/flexplate, clutch/converter, hydraulics, starter and calibration.

Transmission → driveshaft

Output spline, slip yoke, seal, driveshaft length, U-joint and speed signal.

Driveshaft → rear axle

Pinion yoke, U-joint, rear width, pinion angle and torque-arm mounting.

Rear axle → chassis

Control arms, panhard, sway bar, shocks/springs, brakes, parking brake and ABS/TCS.

THE PART THAT FITS ONE INTERFACE CAN BREAK ANOTHER

Do not approve a combination until every row above is accounted for. After installation, verify leaks, clearances, driveline angles, brake operation, wheel-speed data and road behavior.

FPV RULE
OBSERVE → MEASURE → ISOLATE → PROVE → REPAIR → VERIFY. Do not turn a symptom, DTC or catalog fitment label into a parts order.
