Front-Only vs Four-Wheel Big-Brake Upgrades
A system-level decision guide before changing front and rear brake capacity.
Start with the goal
Street appearance, repeated high-energy stops, road-course heat capacity and fixing poor stock brake condition are different problems. Bigger hardware is not automatically the first repair.
Front-only
An engineered front kit can be a valid package when its manufacturer specifies compatibility with the OE hydraulic/ABS system. That does not make every custom front swap hydraulically equivalent.
Four-wheel
Rear changes add parking-brake, axle-end, wheel-speed/ABS/TCS and front-to-rear capacity questions. Verify the rear as a complete subsystem.
DO NOT CHASE SIZE
First prove tires, pads, fluid, rotor condition, caliper operation and the intended heat load. Upgrade capacity for a defined need, not rotor diameter alone.
