CTS-V Brembo Conversion: What Is Proven vs What Is Not

Evidence boundaries for the popular CTS-V Brembo conversion on late fourth-gen F-body hardware.

APPLICATION: Modified 1998–2002-style F-body uprights. Community-documented conversion; not treated as a factory bolt-on application.

Documented front conversion

A long-running F-body technical write-up documents second-generation CTS-V six-piston front calipers on 1998–2002-style uprights, including upright-hole enlargement and rotor hub-bore machining.

Rear is configuration-sensitive

The same documented installation was performed on a 3-channel ABS car and explicitly did not establish universal rear compatibility with 4-channel ABS/traction-control cars.

Why FPV labels this differently

This is useful aftermarket evidence, but it is not equivalent to a manufacturer-engineered direct-fit kit. Caliper identity, rotor dimensions, bracket/spacing, hose routing, parking brake, ABS/TCS and wheel clearance all remain part of the proof.

DO NOT MIX PARTS BY LOOKS

Do not assume every CTS-V/Camaro Brembo casting or large GM rotor creates the same geometry. Verify the documented combination before machining anything.
