2000 LS1 MAF P0101 / P0102 / P0103 Strategy
2000 changed at least one published MAF limit from 1999, which is exactly why FPV keeps hard numbers tied to the correct model year.
P0101 remains a rationality comparison
Measured MAF is compared with calculated airflow. Diagnose intake tract, MAP/TP inputs, installation and calibration context—not just the MAF element.
2000 high-frequency limit differs
The 2000 F-car document publishes P0103 above 14,000 Hz, while the 1999 document publishes 13,500 Hz. This is why FPV does not flatten model years into one generic LS1 number.
P0102 remains a low-frequency circuit fault
Check feed, ground, signal integrity, connector fit and harness condition under the failure state before replacing the sensor.
Modified-car checkpoint
Aftermarket MAF housings and altered intake geometry can create rationality errors even when the wiring is perfect.
DO NOT REPLACE YET
Do not use a 1999 or 1998 threshold as the pass/fail number for a 2000 car.
